We all know Steep Holm as a looming presence off the coast of Minehead. From a distance it looks impregnable, gloomy, barren and frankly, uninteresting. In fact it is none of those things! It has a history stretching back beyond the Vikings, interesting fauna ( including resident deer! ), deadly flora and stunning views.
